We know you’re lazy, so first things first. Short & simple, our summary:
After the awesome experience of ChainFaces Arena, the community was asking for more. So SPT decided to give you MORE utility that was never promised or mentioned before mint. A lot like how the bounty of the first arena was not known before mint of ChainFaces Arena, Holders of Chainfaces and Chainfaces Arena are again getting more than initially promised: a free art upgrade AND the ability to revive their dead warriors. We are also planning to do a sequel to the original arena.

One Arena, an army of Warriors and Lions ready to eat. That was ChainFacesArena with a total bounty of 696.969 ETH lasting for a month until only 2 warriors remained for the final showdown.

Putting our community in the centre of our action we followed their demand to get some pfp-isch art for ChainFaces. Art is revealed for upgrade and revived ChainFacesArena, waiting for ChainFaces.

We started the ChainFaces Arena journey on January 2nd. We had over 17.000 people join the arena and over the course of 4 weeks, 12.775 brave degens gave their life in an attempt to secure the ultimate prize. 4.256 of ChainFacesARENA (CFA) holders walked away with a bounty, their scarred NFT(s) and possibly a bruised ego.
We had a live VC for the final 19 Arena participants, which was EPIC to say the least. The people’s champion Koto who entered the arena with 1 NFT chose to walk away and placed 3rd. His bounty was 29.18 ETH. The final battle was between Tweety.pcc.eth and BearsDeluxe. Tweety like the true OG Degen watched his warrior perish as BearsDeluxe took the 58.3 ETH bounty (approximately 160000 US Dollars).” — Nate Alex

Sort of. For live CFAs you will need to claim your ETA (or buy it on secondary) as one transaction and then the actual upgrade will be a separate transaction. For CFs upgrading and for dead CFAs upgrading/reviving will be one transaction.

Yes, and you don’t really have a choice. The claim function will automatically claim all elixirs that a wallet is entitled to at once. Because elixir is an 1155 token, gas should be about the same for claiming 1 or 10 elixirs.

We’re working on bulk transactions. It may not be all of them (@nftcali) in one go, due to block size limitations, but we’ll have more information as we get closer.
CFs, live CFAs, and dead CFAs are all in different categories and will need separate transactions.

Yes, there will be a limited window to revive any dead CFAs and claim any outstanding elixir. More information about the deadlines will be released later.

Yes, reviving a dead CFA brings it back as a CFA HD.

Rarity for CFA HDs is based largely on the original attributes of the CF/CFA. There are also some additional RNG mechanics with CFA HD that may change overall rarity; attributes that weren’t included in the original collections. But other things to consider are whether the CFA HD was upgraded from an OG CF, a pacifist, a warrior, or a dead CFA. We don’t currently have plans to work with any of the rarity aggregators.

No, all transactions for SP 1.1 and 1.2 (claiming elixir, upgrading CFAs/CFs, reviving dead CFAs) will require gas on your end.

No, all CFA HDs are “wrapped” NFTs. No new NFTs are created during the upgrade or revive processes.

This will be done by burning ETA, similar to upgrading. And if you are reviving a dead CFA it will automatically be upgraded as well.
